A prayer inspired by Jeremiah 1-2

The Call of Jeremiah 

My God, My Heavenly Father,
Before You formed me in the womb
You knew me

Put Your words in my mouth
that I will speak like You
Make me a fortified city
that I will be a vessel of Your glory
Keep me holy to You
that all who try to devour me will be held guilty

Help me to worship only You
that I may abhor worthless idols
And when I'm in the desert
Lead me always to You, the spring of living water
Let me not dig my own well
nor waste Your land

Lead me to always serve You
that my face be always toward You
And when I fail, pursue me 
Cloth me with the Righteousness of Christ
